Frequently asked questions
Surprisingly, no. JessiMa employs transpersonal listening, which is a technique used to hear the under currents of all that you say and weave together the patterns of dissonance. You are of course free to choose anything that you would like and JessiMa will find the foundation of it and work from there for greatest effect. In the event that the need is not easily identified, hypnosis can be employed to instruct your psyche to define over the coming days, what it most needs to work on.
Hypnotherapy is a descent into the luminous machinery of your own becoming. It is what happens when the spotlight of attention turns inward and the noise of the surface mind finally quiets enough for deeper intelligence to speak. You are not losing control, you are surrendering friction. You are slipping past the gatekeepers of habit and arriving at the source code of experience itself.
This is the state where imagination is no longer pretending to be fictional and reveals itself as a force of construction. Where the memory, the emotion, the sensations, and the meaning all collapse into a single field of malleable possibility. The story you have been telling yourself loosens and the body begins to listen, as it becomes aware of your own presence. The mind becomes eager to align with what it knows to be truth. You do not vanish, you become truer- realer even, as the place that stored your childhood interpretations opens to receive your adjusted and reasonable meanings, storing them as code rule.
In hypnosis transformation actually occurs through resonance. Your focused attention meets your unconscious patterning and reality reorganizes itself from the inside out.
Hypnotherapy is not magic. It is intimacy with your own interior cosmos. A deliberate return to the liminal threshold where choice can regain it's leverage and new futures become imaginable. You cannot go against your own ethos, your conscious mind will immediately rise to the surface, just as it does when you hear a sound in the morning after a long quiet night.
The truest definition? Reiki is an act of remembering that you are already immersed in an intelligent field of vitality. It is the quiet orchestration of attention and presence that allows that field to move where it is invited. We do not push or force energy but rather, through gentle contact and the focused awareness of the practitioner, the nervous system responds to that felt presence. It is as if it hears that it might want to be in this other configuration, this more natural one... "do you remember", it is asked and it responds by sliding back into place. The energetic systems of the body release resistance because it remembers that it feels better over here. If the client gives the body permission, it effortlessly reorganizes itself toward balance. Reiki works through sympathetic resonance because your biology knows how to heal when the interference falls away.
I have found in my many years of practicing wholeness, that we need rhythm in order to set cohesion. I prefer to work with clients beginning with ten consistent weekly sessions, because this allows congruity with the reformed ways that you choose speak to yourself. By meeting with me weekly, your bodies (Energetic, biological, mental and spiritual) are remembering to hold themselves accountable over and over again. Accountability is not always about 'taking the blame'. In fact, in this practice it is about remembering kindness. Revisiting the deeper reasons for the things that we do and say. It is about anchoring presence and compassion because things will always come up. Challenge as a system does not go away. It is how we address the emotions and thusly the actions around the challenge that must change... and that is a system. It is also statistically demonstrated that when you invest in something in a way that carries personal cost, you tend to show up for yourself with greater seriousness, commitment, and follow through. In other words, If we have had to go out on a limb financially (because everyone is concerned with their finances- this is about safety and stability) our deeper presence is triggered and the different levels of the mind become more available to the information it receives.
Evolutionary Astrology is a style of astrology that interprets the natal chart as a symbolic map of the soul’s evolutionary journey across lifetimes. It is rooted in the belief that the chart reflects not just personality or psychological patterns but deeper soul purposes, unresolved lessons, and intentions carried from prior incarnations. Practitioners use factors such as the Moon’s Nodes, Pluto’s placement, and their interactions in the chart to trace where the soul comes from, what it is here to learn, and where it is evolving toward. The chart is treated as a dynamic record of evolutionary condition and direction rather than a fixed destiny, and individuals are understood as responsible for how they engage with these symbolic potentials.
A Solar Return is when the Sun returns to the exact same degree of the same zodiac as the moment you were born. This happens once a year on your birthday. Each year the map of the sky is different, save for your Sun position, and gives a map of the psychological and emotional patterns of the year to come. A Lunar Return is the moment that the Moon returns to the exact same degree and zodiac sign as your natal Moon. This reading gives a lighter indication of the emotional imprint of your month ahead. In other words, how your psyche is most likely to experience the events of the month on an emotional level. This is because the Moon represents the 4th house and Cancer, which are linked to your childhood home, your emotional needs and the way that you nurture yourself and your inner child. Both can be a very helpful way to look at the upcoming personal energies, so that you can be better prepared and calmer while you experience them.
God is a sentient energy field, known by thousands upon thousands of names across cultures and time, God, Source, the Universe, Goddess, the Gods. If this field is the origin of everything you know, then it is also the primal architect of intuition. It is the ground from which all perceptive capacity springs, because you too are sentient and emergent from the same elemental substance that composes stars and synapse alike. You do not observe the universe from the outside; you are the universe reflecting on itself.
From this deep realization, tools of perception arise spontaneously. The Tarot appears as a poetic syntax of archetypal forces. Sound unfolds as a living medium of entrainment and coherence. Harmonics are not merely pleasant vibrations but regulators of nervous systems and subtle fields; disharmonics are signatures of discord that invite transformation. Both are essential in the play of emergence, one to unsettle and dislodge rigid stasis, the other to nourish and stabilize nascent coherence. The instruments of this practice, gongs, singing bowls, voices, rattles, drums, become conduits of focus and epistemic attunement, technologies of attention that calibrate consciousness toward frequencies resonant with calm and connection.
Astrology functions in an analogous way. It is not prescriptive dogma but a symbolic literacy, a cosmic grammar that deciphers timing, cycles, resonance, and the deep choreography of emergence. It reveals pattern and context without confining agency. Through it you observe the rhythmic interplay of forces, while the responsibility for choice remains entirely with you. You do not become passive; you become cosmic pattern recognizers, cocreators in the unfolding story of existence.
